This will probably be the last of the photos I took in Stanton last Sunday.
I found this little flower on the side of a small hill which led up to the "Lost Dutchman" sign (see below). I took the photo on the way up the hill--and nearly stepped on this little blossom on my way down. Life must be tough enough for these little flowers, having to live in a severe desert environment and then having to dodge tourist feet even in a place like Stanton.
And, since I haven't identified this particular flower, I've been wondering ever since Sunday how close I might have come to a violation of the endangered species act.
